Membership is not required to attend general body meetings and events. One interest meeting is held per semester, where non-member attendance is also encouraged. Only Tau Beta Pi electees and members may attend our Electee Meeting and Initiation Ceremony.

How often does the Florida-Eta Chapter meet?

General body meetings are held monthly. Other Tau Beta Pi events (such as social and volunteering) are held periodically; check out our calendar for more information on our upcoming events!

Who is eligible?

Tau Beta Pi is open to all engineering disciplines. Juniors with GPAs in the top eighth of their class, seniors with GPAs in the top fifth of their class, or graduate students who have completed 50% of their course work and have a GPA placing them in the top fifth of their class, are invited to join each semester.

Is there a membership fee? If so, what does this go towards?

There is a one-time only initiation fee of $105 paid upon membership acceptance. The dues pay for a bent charm or pin, with your name, class, and chapter engraved, your membership certificate, your membership card, and a 4-year subscription to The BENT magazine. In addition, dues assist with funding meetings, social events, and volunteering activities.
